Mama’s Bites
Mama’s Bites is a plantain chips business that takes pride in their organically grown plantains that are harvested and made seasonally. Their plantain chips are made in Nigeria and sold there and at select African stores in the U.S.
The opportunity
Mama’s Bites needed branding that reflected the freshness of their product and the care taken in creating it. They also needed packaging that would appeal to their existing African market as well as a diaspora market.
the service
Based on their needs, I created branding and packaging that was nurturing, inviting and fun. Their packaging for their three plantain chips flavors include a transparent center. This removes any mystery and invites customers to take a peak at what’s inside. I also updated the hierarchy of information on the packaging and added that their plantains are organic.
